RHAPSODY OF REALITIES FOR EARLY READERS MONDAY 18TH JULY
A LESSON FROM THE FIG TREE.
Then Jesus told them, “Truly, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this Mount of Olives, ‘Move over into the ocean,’ and it will. Matthew 21:21 TLB
One morning, as the Lord Jesus was returning to Jerusalem, He was hungry and went over to a fig tree by the road, looking for fruits on it, but it had none. Then Jesus said to the tree, “Never bear fruit again,” and He continued on His journey. His disciples, who were with Him when all these happened, saw that the fig tree dried up and died the next morning just as Jesus had commanded, and they were shocked. You see, when Jesus spoke to the fig tree, He never doubted; He didn’t need to wait for the tree to obey. You must have the same faith in the power of your words.
