CONTROLLER FREEDOM – PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE
MEMORISE: For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. Galatians 5:13

- This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
- For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
- But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
MESSAGE:
Today, many young people use the word ‘freedom’ when it comes to their individual rights and choices. They use this word to imply that there should be no limit or restraint to their freedom. However, I would like to establish that freedom isn’t a license to misbehave, and neither is it a concept that connotes the absence of responsibilities
Freedom does not mean being free to do whatever you want without being held accountable. This is because there are consequences for every action. For example, you cannot say that you want to drive a car without being responsible for the things that come with driving the car.
Beloved, as you go on in life, I want you to realise that any freedom that is not curtailed will get you into trouble. This is the reason you have to live within certain parameters that are set for you by your parents and especially the word of God. These will instill discipline, commitment, and dedication in you, which are traits that are instrumental to your greatness.
KEY POINT
Freedom does not mean being irresponsible.
