DON’T IGNORE THE POOR – PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME DSC. DSC. DD.

“Until you help the poor, you have not separated yourself from the poor.”

You’re a world changer, therefore, you must always look out for how you can help someone else. It’s important you have this mentality. Become a giver; not only in Church, give also to the poor. Don’t ignore the poor! Don’t say “they should go & work,” the fact is that a lot of them, despite several attempts, are unable to get a job; no one will give them one.

One important thing you should practice is this: try to take extra money with you when you’re going to work, for that one person that you’re going to help that day. Plant seeds into some other person’s life. It may be small, but I’ll tell you something – you don’t determine the size of a tree by the size of its seed.

The Bible says in Proverbs 19:17, “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; & that which he hath given will he pay him again.” The Lord pays you for being gracious to the poor, & interestingly, He will pay you with interest.

Someone may say “but I have my own needs,” no, take your mind away from what you go through, so that you can go above it. There are lots of people who have a lot of money, but are still poor; their minds are poor & they can’t use their money correctly. Until you help the poor, you have not separated yourself from the poor. Separate yourself from the poor by helping the poor. Practice this act of giving; put it to work & you’ll be amazed at the results you will see manifested in your life. DON’T IGNORE THE POOR

A lot of times we hear politicians saying stuff like, “We will tax the rich and let the poor go free.” I will like to say this, “If you tax the rich more than you should tax them, they will eventually visit it on the poor.” The poor will never exist without the power of the rich. Let me ask these simple questions: Who are the people that make the job? The rich. Who are the employers of labour? The rich.
