EAGLES UNDERGO PAINFUL RENEWAL

EAGLES UNDERGO PAINFUL RENEWAL

Eagles, renowned for their strength and majesty, face a unique renewal process as they age. When an eagle reaches a point where its beak becomes blunt, its talons weaken, and its feathers become too heavy to fly, it retreats to a high mountain. There, it undergoes a painful process of breaking its beak against rocks, shedding its talons, and plucking old feathers. Over months, new beaks, talons, and feathers grow, enabling the eagle to regain strength and soar again. This transformation is symbolic of spiritual renewal and overcoming life’s challenges for greater heights.

LEADERSHIP INSIGHT
Renewal requires shedding old, limiting habits, beliefs, and attitudes. It all starts with your mind. Romans 12:2 emphasizes that growth starts with the renewal of the mind. Just as the eagle discards the old to embrace the new, leaders must relinquish outdated mindsets and habits that hinder progress. Transformation might be painful, requiring humility, discipline, and patience, but it produces undeniable growth and prepares leaders for greater accomplishments and impactful service.

SCRIPTURAL BACKING AND INSIGHTS
1. Romans 12:2—“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
Renewing the mind means immersing oneself in the Word of God to change thoughts, perspectives, and decisions. The world’s systems are limited and fear-driven, but a transformed mind sees opportunities where others see obstacles. The Word programs the believer for success and alignment with God’s perfect will, enabling us to think and act like Him.

2. Psalm 51:10—“Create  in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”
This verse shows David’s plea for spiritual revival. In the New Testament, we were born with a new heart… we do not have to pray that prayer. Now the spirit of God has made His home in our hearts. Titus 3:5—“He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.” Renewal is a divine work of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit not only regenerates us at salvation but continually renews us. This enables believers to walk in greater dimensions of God’s purpose, wisdom, and power.

3. Ephesians 4:22-23—“You were taught… to be made new in the attitude of your minds.”
The attitude of the mind governs our life experiences. A renewed mind removes corrupt, limiting thoughts and replaces them with Godly perspectives. This is achieved through meditation on the Word, which reshapes attitudes, enabling believers to approach challenges with faith and dominion, rather than fear or doubt.

4. Isaiah 40:31—“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles.”
Waiting on the Lord involves active fellowship with Him through prayer and the Word. This is likened to spiritual empowerment, where weakness is replaced with divine strength. This scripture promises that, like the eagle, believers who depend on God will rise above obstacles, gaining new vigor for greater exploits.

5. 2 Corinthians 4:16—“Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.”
The physical body may look wasted, but as we stay on the Word, our spirit will experience continuous growth. This inward renewal occurs when believers consistently feed on God’s Word and maintain fellowship with the Holy Spirit. It keeps them vibrant, purposeful, and focused, despite external pressures or adversities.

6. Colossians 3:9-“10—“You have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.”
Renewal here is ongoing and tied to knowledge of God’s Word. This process aligns believers with the image of Christ, shaping character and purpose. The “old self” represents limitations and sin; the “new self” reflects righteousness, excellence, and victory.

6. Philippians 3:13-“14—“Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
This is likened to the eagle’s renewal process, where old feathers are shed to make room for new growth. To press forward, believers must let go of past mistakes and embrace the transformative power of God’s Word. This focus ensures that we achieve greater victories and fulfill divine destinies.
