RHAPSODY OF REALITIES TEEVO FRIDAY, DECEMBER 21ST
(CONTEMPLATE THE GLORY OF GOD)
TO THE BIBLE
Hebrews 1:3 NIV “The Son (Jesus Christ) is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.”
LET’S TALK
Jesus Christ is the brightness of God’s glory, and the express image of His person. That means He’s the outshining of God’s glory, the expression and icon of the Father’s glory. 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NIV) says: “And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” How important it is to contemplate the glory of God.
In the New King James Version, it says, “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” What does this mean? The mirror of God is the Word of God. What happens when we contemplate the glory of God in the mirror of God? What does a mirror do? It reflects whatever is set before it. If you were standing in front of a mirror, you’d see your own reflection. The Word of God is that mirror.
Therefore, that reflection, that glory you see when you look into the mirror—the Word—is who you really are; you’re the glory of God. You’re the fruit of Christ’s suffering. The Bible talks about the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should be revealed (1 Peter 1:11). You’re that glory that He saw that made Him endure the cross and despise the shame (Hebrews 12:2). Have this consciousness; see yourself in, and as, the glory of God! Walk in, and manifest His glory everywhere.
