And Solomon went up there to the bronze altar before the Lord… and offered a thousand burnt offerings on it. On that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, “Ask! What shall I give you?” 2 Chronicles 1:6-7
One day, Solomon offered a huge sacrifice of a thousand burnt offerings to the Lord. Never before had anyone given so much to the Lord. The Bible says, that very night, the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream and said, “…Ask! What shall I give you?” (2 Chronicles 1:7). Wow! He must have been so touched by Solomon’s action.
When you want to give to the Lord, that’s not the time to look for spare change, no! Remember, you’re giving to a big God who owns the heavens and the earth; so when you’re giving to Him, like Solomon, give big.
