Here is something that you need to observe:
Luke 5:17-25
The Bible says while Jesus was teaching (so many had come from far and near to hear Him), the power of the Lord was present to heal. That’s exactly what’s happening in this place today. While I’m sharing the Word of God with you, the power of God will be manifested in your body. The power is present here to heal. These men brought their friend sick of the palsy to Jesus. They went to the top of the building, tore off the top, and dropped the man before Jesus.
Verse 20: Jesus started by letting the man know that his sins were forgiven by God. God knows that sin destroys, and He always wants you cleansed of your sin. The Pharisees didn’t know who Jesus was. The name “Son of Man” was the title used for the Messiah by Daniel.
Verses 25-26: The people glorified God and said, “We have seen strange things today.” You saw some of that yesterday because Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
John 20:21-24
He has sent us. He gave us power in His name to say the same things that He said, “Your sins are forgiven you.” That’s amazing.
Luke 5:25
What led to this miracle was what Jesus said to the man. “I say unto thee, arise….” The man was healed immediately. He got up immediately.
Life and Consciousness (Continued)

Scientific discussions on consciousness have so far yielded no results and will never yield results because man can never understand life apart from the Source of life. You have to know the origin of life to understand the meaning of life.
Can a man be aware of himself? Someone asked, “How do we know that we are not all in a dream?” He has a problem with consciousness. He doesn’t understand what life is. You cannot locate yourself in space except with reference to some other location. You can’t tell where you are unless you describe your location with reference to some other location. Man is a spirit being, not a physical body. As long as he wants to live like an animal, he cannot discover his purpose for life. If there is a Creator, shouldn’t that Creator introduce Himself to His creatures to let them know their purpose for life? Yes, that’s exactly what He did. It wasn’t for us to decide how He would manifest Himself. It was up to Him. He knows us and knew how to manifest Himself so that we would recognize Him. That’s what He did in Jesus Christ.
With your brain, you relate with your senses. With your mind, you relate with the intellectual world. But with your spirit, you relate with God. Your spirit knows God. That’s why you can believe something you’ve never seen or touched. To believe is with your spirit. You don’t believe with your mind or brain. Your brain works with your senses. Your mind works with your thoughts and emotions, but your spirit can relate with the unseen—with God.

Romans 10:10, 1 Peter 3:4, Romans 7:22, 2 Corinthians 4:16
The spirit is the hidden man of the heart. He is hidden inside your body. The hidden man is the inward man. The inward man is the human spirit. It is renewed day by day. That’s why you could be suffering outside but are strong inside.
I explained something to you yesterday about the life and nature of God that He gives to us. What life is this eternal life? You’ve got biological life: plant life, animal life. Then you’ve got spiritual life, God’s life. God is a divine being with a different kind of life. That’s what He called eternal life. Eternal life is the organic and existential attributes that are consistent with deity. This is the life that He lives organically. God has that life—an existential life. He has the consciousness that He is alive. Does a carved idol know that it is alive? To be a real god, you must have existential qualities; you must have self-consciousness.
So, He gives you this existential life that is in consent with deity. He brings you into a oneness with God that you will be conscious of. No one who is truly born again will have questions about consciousness because he is brought into spiritual consciousness, which a man who does not know Jesus cannot have because he is spiritually dead. You have to have eternal life to be conscious spiritually. Until you are born again, you have no consciousness of your real personality. The inward man has no life.
John 1:4
The life of Jesus Christ was the light of men.
John 1:14
The Word of God became flesh—the glory as of the only begotten of the Father. This means “the only born” or “the only kind.” Jesus was one of a kind. There was no one in the world that was a kind of Jesus. Jesus was born of a virgin, so He had the body of man, but the nature which comes from a man, He didn’t have. He was conceived of the Holy Ghost. So Jesus was called a child of the Holy Ghost.

John 1:18
The only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, unveiled the nature of God. If you wanted to know what God was like, you looked at Jesus.
When Jesus died, He was buried. When God raised Him up, He was born again.
Acts 13:31-33
This was the second birth of Jesus. God said, “This day have I given birth to you.” He was born again. Why was this necessary? Because He bore our sins on the Cross. He went to hell because that’s where we were supposed to go. He threw off from Himself principalities and powers, triumphing over them. Before all those in hell, Jesus defeated Satan and the forces of darkness. Then He came back to life.
1 Timothy 3:16
Jesus was justified in the spirit because He had been made sin with our sins. When He satisfied the claims of justice, He was justified in the spirit: acquitted! This is huge because it refers to being born again. To be justified means “declared not guilty.” By His resurrection, He is justified as though He never existed before.
Romans 4:23-25, Romans 5:1
He was delivered to death for our offenses and raised again for our justification. When He was justified in the spirit, we were justified in the spirit. We have been declared not guilty by the new birth. Jesus paid for all those who came before Him in the Old Testament. But for those in the New Testament, for all those who believe in Him, they will receive eternal life and will have justification. If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. That’s why you can’t accept any sickness and disease in your body. They came with the old nature. The eternal life that Jesus gives you comes with divine quality.
The life He gives us is divine life with divine quality. If you want to understand a little more about His nature…
Romans 1:20
Understanding eternal life…one has to have extrapolatory evidence of the divine character, and this scripture tells you just that. It says you can understand the invisible from that which is visible. You can understand the character of God from that which He has shown us. The unknown can be understood from the known. How did He deal with men? What do the scriptures say? Even your own experience of Him, like what we are seeing here. God is not the one that makes people sick. The name of Jesus still works today. When people say “I don’t believe in God,” God says they are without excuse because even in nature they can see the existence of God. Believing is not with the intellect but with the heart.
