18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

MFM Devotional For Today 2024 MESSAGE:
Today’s devotional is the word of Jesus Himself to the multitude that always surrounded Him to be taught. He started by talking about the wide and narrow roads, then the good and the bad fruits. The beautiful use of contrasts is to help us understand the two sides of the coin among the people who claim to be believers in Christ. Hence, He concluded by making us to know that not all who call Him Lord shall be found worthy to enter into His kingdom. What a tragedy! What puts a man into this category of unworthiness before Christ? How can men labour for the Lord and yet become cast away? Does it mean some people may claim to be Christians now, but in the final analysis, they shall be cast out before the Lord? The response to these questions and more like it is Yes! This is because God sees and knows the hearts of all men. NOT EVERYONE THAT CALLS ME LORD
He knows that many call upon Him with their mouths but their hearts are far from Him. They serve God for the sake of their own bellies, for fame and personal gains. They are false in all they do, because they don’t do the will of God but theirs. They are wolves in sheep’s clothing; ministers of satan who pretend to be ministers of the Light. Jesus told us that by their fruits we shall know them, especially for those who can discern the right from wrong. They are bad trees that will produce bad fruits. They are liars and children of satan, the father of lies. The end of such people is in eternal lake of fire.
All these are for us to hear and be forewarned. Imagine that Jesus said it, the apostles corroborated it and today it is as evident as never before, seeing deception in Christianity all around. Beloved, are you on the side of the multitude who are rushing down the wide road to destruction or on the narrow road where there are few, going to eternity in heaven? The choice is yours. In case you are not on the right side, you still have an opportunity to make a change and fast! Give your life to Jesus Christ, today.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- Agenda of wastefulness, my life is not your candidate, scatter, in the name of Jesus.
- I refuse to be a cast away from the kingdom of God, in the name of Jesus.
- O God, help me to do Your will and be listed among Your beloved, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- Power to stand for God and His kingdom alone, come upon me now, in the name of Jesus.
- I shall not be listed among the wolves and the Anti-Christ, in the name of Jesus.
- The voice of divine rejection shall not address me, in the name of Jesus.
- Father, establish me in Your will and help me to make heaven at last, in the name of Jesus.
