REST IN THAT WHICH WAS SPOKEN β BISHOP MIKE OKONKWO
βAnd he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?β (Mark 4:38 KJV)
When you learn to rest in the Word, you will always overcome every challenge. In Mark 4, the disciples and Jesus were caught up in the middle of a fierce storm. The disciples were struggling, trying to see what they could do to stop the ship from drowning. However, Jesus in the middle of the same storm, was asleep in the inner parts of the ship. Eventually, they approached Jesus, who got up and rebuked the storm to cease.
The Disciples were struggling, trying to do it by themselves, but they could not stop it. However, the One who was resting stopped the storm. Jesus was resting in the spoken Word of God which had gone ahead of the storm, that they would cross over to the other side. There is no storm that can violate Godβs Word.

The promise that God made to you is more powerful than your challenge. Let the battle rage, and the bellows toss high, that which God has spoken must surely come to pass. There is no storm strong enough to hinder what God has spoken.
Child of God, copy the example of Jesus and rest in that which was spoken. Yes, you might be feeling pains, but rest in the word that you are healed from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet. You might not have money in your pocket, but rest in the word that your needs are abundantly supplied according to heavenβs storehouse.
This is why you must know the Word of God for yourself. Because the truth is there is no rest outside of the Word. The only way you can rest is in the Word of God, and so get into the Word, so you can know what God says concerning your situation and rest in that truth.
