6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

MFM Devotional For Today 2024 MESSAGE:
In today’s Fire Scripture and memory verse, Paul addressed the issue of the dwindling faith of the Galatian Christians, who at conversion were zealous for God, but were now losing their faith and at the edge of following other doctrines. In fact, he wasted not too much time in laying a curse on whoever seeks to preach another gospel that is different from Christ’s to the people of God (Gal 1:6-8)
Paul was so confident of the fact that they delivered the gospel of Christ to the Galatians; hence, he termed the strange doctrine,” another gospel” and decreed that the propagator of such evil news be cursed. Remember, Jesus warned us. Now the apostles experienced it. No doubt, we are having it so much in our world. The book of Timothy also warns us that at the end of times, knowledge will increase and the love of many shall wax cold, and their ears shall itch for ungodly things because they lack interest in the things of God.
Undoubtedly, those days are here! Paul spoke of Demas who was one of his faithful followers, but suddenly got drifted into the world, away from Christ. In 2 Timothy 4:10, he said, “…..for Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica;” What a loss! Today, there are many Demases, men and women who laboured for Christ but are lost from the fold or backsliding into the world, back into their vomit from where they were delivered and saved. There is a subtle and gradual drawback from church, especially by many of the young ones. They consider some churches to be too conservative and ancient. They attend some others where they believe the teachings are more relaxed and accommodating for sin and all kinds of unrighteousness. Little do they know that it is a broad way to hell and destruction, a spiritual assassination of their destiny! Adults are not excluded either. Many long-term Christians are falling away due to inability to wait on God in their times of trouble. Have you forgotten that long suffering is a part of the fruit of the Spirit? God often allows us to go through some rough roads so that we can be well-moulded and become mature, strong enough for the next assignment.
Beloved, beware of strange doctrines!
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- Satanic agenda to draw me away from Christ, fail woefully in the name of Jesus.
- I refuse to get lost with the world and her vanities, in the name of Jesus.
- O Lord, help me to stand strong in this delicate moment of the end times, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- Satan’s weapons of seduction shall not prosper in my life in the name of Jesus.
- I shall not serve another god but God alone, in the name of Jesus.
- Holy Spirit, empower me to stand against strange spirits and doctrines, in the name of Jesus.
- I resist and reject the spirit of Demas. I shall not draw back, in the name of Jesus.
