Imagine you were very thirsty and a friend offered you a glass of cold water. Having that glass of water in front of you wouldn’t satisfy your thirst; you’d have to drink it! It’s the same with God’s Word.
Keeping your Bible in your bag or on your study table isn’t enough; the words on the pages of your Bible must get into your heart. God’s Word is one of the greatest gifts to us. It’s God’s instruction manual to us on how to live a successful and victorious life in Christ. That’s why you’ve got to let it get into your spirit through diligent study and meditation.
