WHAT AN AWESOME NAME!

📖 TO THE BIBLE
Philippians 2:9-11 “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

LET’S TALK
When some people hear the Name of Jesus, they think of a religious leader. But Jesus is more than a religious leader. He’s the exact representation of God’s personality. The Bible says, “He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God’s] nature…” (Hebrews 1:3 AMPC).

All things were made in His Name. Hebrews 1:2 (NIV) attests to this truth: “But in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.” The seal on everything that God made bears the awesome name of Jesus. The Bible says that God has given Him a name that’s above every name. The power of that name isn’t in the way it sounds but in the authority vested in it by the Father.

If you spoke French, Spanish or German, for example, the pronunciation of “Jesus“ would certainly vary. Even its spelling would be different. So the power of the name isn’t in its sound or lettering; it’s in the authority vested in it.

Whenever you call that name (in whatever language you speak) understand that it’s got power. You can heal the sick, cast out devils and work wonders in the name of Jesus. It’s got all of heaven’s authority behind it. So be bold to use it.

PRAY
Thank you, dear heavenly Father, for the privilege to use the awesome and powerful Name of Jesus. I’m performing miracles and working wonders in His Name. No obstacle is able to stand before me successfully, because I’ve taken hold of the authority vested in the Name of Jesus.
