10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
13 She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.
14 She is like the merchants’ ships; she bringeth her food from afar.
15 She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
16 She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard.
17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.
18 She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night.
19 She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.
20 She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.

MFM Devotional For Today 2024 MESSAGE:
Having female role models is a good idea for female Christians today. A good role model is someone who has a behavior, example or success that can be emulated by others, especially younger people. You will benefit from a good role model who inspires, instructs and sets good examples for you. You will also make important decisions that in turn will make your life fulfilling. The virtuous woman described in glowing terms in Proverbs 31 (our Fire Scripture for today) is a perfect example of a positive female role model. She is someone the Bible wants you to imitate and emulate. She is an epitome of excellence. To be excellent is to be perfect. In this regard, she excels both in the physical and spiritual areas of her life. Her husband and children acknowledged that and extolled her for it. What makes her special and why is she excellent?
Proverbs 31:29 says that though many women have done virtuously, nobly and well (they have excellent strength of character) but this daughter of God excels them all. The Bible describes her private life in glowing terms and makes her a reference point: capable, intelligent and virtuous. Since God Himself said that she “excels them all”, it means that she had done more than Miriam, the one who led Israel’s women in praise to God (Exodus 15:20,21); Deborah, the patriotic military advisor (Judges 4:4-10); Ruth, the woman of constancy (Ruth 1:16); Hannah, the ideal mother (1 Samuel 1:20; 2:19); the Shunammite, the hospitable woman (II Kings 22:14); and even more than Queen Esther, the woman who risked sacrificing her life for her people (Esther 4:16). In what way did she excel them all? It was in her spiritual and personal devotion to God, which permeated every area and relationship of her life. In addition, she exemplified all the seven Christian virtues in II Peter 1:5: virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, godliness, brotherly kindness and charity.
Beloved, the key to being an excellent woman who is far above rubies, extolled by her husband and praised by her children and neighbour is to be filled with the Holy Spirit and bear His fruit: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. God is looking for excellent daughters in this generation. Can He count on you?
