THE REIGNING CHURCH.
(The Church’s Dominion Is Forever)
Matthew 16:18 AMPC “And I tell you, you are Peter [Greek, Petros—a large piece of rock], and on this rock [Greek, petra—a huge rock like Gibraltar] I will build My church, and the gates of Hades (the powers of the infernal region) shall not overpower it [or be strong to its detriment or hold out against it].”
“Dad, is there any reason why the Church has been persecuted and hated these past two thousand years?” asked Gabriel.
“Well, the simple reason is that the Church has an enemy, satan, that’s why. Yet, with all his antics, the Church keeps on reigning over and dominating his cohorts,” replied Gabriel’s dad.
Some people today are astounded that the Church of Jesus Christ is still growing stronger, bigger, and more effective than ever. I wonder what they thought! They had speculated and were certain that their nefarious plans would consume the Church of Jesus Christ, but they were wrong. Since its inception on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2, the Church has outlived all its detractors, persecutors, haters, adversaries, and enemies. Those who brag about their opposition to the Church appear to have forgotten history! The Church cannot be destroyed. It’s never going to happen!

In the Book of Acts, when the Church was still young, there were those who tried everything they could to stifle it, but the Church outlasted them. It is therefore a stretch of the imagination for anyone or any group to believe that the Church will either become extinct or fade into obscurity. The Church’s dominion and dominance are limitless.
The Church will never succumb to another’s dominance; in the end, the Church will stand strong because it is eternal. The Bible says of the Lord Jesus, the Head of the Church, is in “…the likeness of Melchizedek, who has become a priest, not on the basis of a legal requirement concerning bodily descent, but by the power of an indestructible life” (Hebrews 7:15-16 ESV). Hallelujah! The reigning church

ENTHRONED WITH HIM
For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet (1 Corinthians 15:25)
Talking about the Lord Jesus, the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:24-25 tells us, “Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.” That means He’s enthroned!
Notice that Paul didn’t say, “For he must reign, after he hath put all enemies under his feet,” no! Rather, he explained that He would reign till all enemies are under His feet. When did He start reigning? He started reigning when He sat down on the seat of the Majesty on high—at the right hand of the Father after His ascension.
Thanks be unto God! We’re seated together with Him, far above all principalities and powers. We’re enthroned with Him. He’s reigning right now through us over demons, hell and the grave. Romans 5:17 says, “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.”
We’ve received abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness. Now, we’re in office, reigning through Christover the world and its systems, circumstances, Satan and his demonic community. Refuse sickness, failure, defeat, and death. Reign in life as a king. Reject everything that’s not of God, and endorse only that which is consistent with His perfect will for you. You’ve been enthroned to reign. Hallelujah!
CONFESSION
Christ reigns over all things for the glory of God and His Church. I’ve been graced to reign in this life, through righteousness. I exercise dominion through words, and I put Satan, his minions and the elements of this world in their place, for I function in, and with, the dominion of Christ. Hallelujah!
Daniel 7:13-14 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. 14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
Psalm 110:1-2 AMPC The Lord (God) says to my Lord (the Messiah), Sit at My right hand, until I make Your adversaries Your footstool. 2 The Lord will send forth from Zion the scepter of Your strength; rule, then, in the midst of Your foes.
