YOU’RE YOUR BROTHER’S KEEPER BY PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME.
Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” He said, “I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?” Genesis 4:9
Today’s memory verse was a part of the conversation between the Lord and Cain. The Lord saw that Cain had been wicked and unkind to his brother, Abel. So, the Lord wanted to correct him for that. However, when the Lord asked after his brother, his response wasn’t nice at all (Genesis 4:6-9).
Therefore, don’t be like Cain who denied being his brother’s keeper. Always remember that as a child of God, you’re really your brother’s keeper. Learn to look after the needs of others. Show love and care; be kind and helpful to others.
Scripture Reading
Matthew 25:37-40; 1 John 3:17
